Who we are

RizzCall ("we", "us") provides a voice-based conversation game and trainer for iOS, and is the data controller for the processing described in this policy. For anything privacy-related, contact support@rizzcall.app. A human reads it.

What we collect and why

Your voice, during a call

A call is a live voice conversation with an AI character. While a call is active, your audio is streamed to our AI infrastructure providers to generate the character's responses in real time. After the call ends, the audio of the session is transcribed once so the call can be scored.

We do not keep your recordings or transcripts. Raw audio and the full transcript are used transiently for the call and the scoring pass, then discarded. What persists is your Rizz Report (scores, quoted moments the scoring identified) and, per character, a short abstracted "performance digest": a few lines about your track record with that character (best score, notable moments, running jokes). Digests deliberately exclude personal real-life disclosures; the generation step is instructed to capture in-game performance facts only.

No voiceprints, no biometrics. We do not create voiceprints, voice templates, or any biometric identifiers from your audio, and we do not use your voice to identify you. Audio is processed only to run the conversation and grade the transcript, not as biometric data under BIPA or similar laws.

No model training. Your calls are processed through the OpenAI API, whose terms exclude API traffic from model training. We do not use your calls, transcripts, or digests to train AI models either.

What you say is up to you. A call is an open conversation, and you may incidentally say things that reveal sensitive information (health, beliefs, relationships). We don't ask for it, don't extract it, and instruct the digest step to discard it. But the moment of processing is unavoidable if you say it. Say less; it also improves your Listening score.

Account

The app signs you in anonymously: no name, email, or phone number is required. Your identity is a random identifier stored on your device.

Gameplay data

Scores, streaks, daily-challenge results (and your anonymous position on the global leaderboard), badges, lives, and per-character performance digests, as described above.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive entitlement status (which plan is active), never your payment details.

Usage analytics

Basic product events (call started, report viewed, share tapped) tied to your anonymous identifier, used to understand and improve the product. We do not sell data and we show no third-party advertising.

Processors we use

• OpenAI: real-time voice conversation, transcription and scoring. API traffic is not used to train their models per their API terms.
• Supabase (hosted in the EU, eu-central-1): accounts, gameplay data, and the character catalog.
• Apple: payments and app distribution.

International transfers

Our database lives in the EU (eu-central-1). During a call, audio and transcripts are processed by OpenAI in the United States; that transfer is safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses under OpenAI's data processing agreement, alongside the EU/US Data Privacy Framework.

Legal bases (EU/EEA)

Performance of contract (running the game you asked for), legitimate interest (product analytics, abuse prevention), and consent where required (notifications, microphone access, which iOS asks you for explicitly). You can withdraw microphone permission in iOS Settings at any time; the app is a phone call, so without it there's not much app.

Retention & deletion

• Raw call audio: not retained; processed in real time only.
• Transcripts: not retained beyond the single scoring pass that ends when your report is generated.
• Reports, scores, streaks, digests: kept until you delete them or your account.
• Purchase/entitlement records: kept as long as legally required for accounting.
• In the app: Settings → Character memories wipes any character's memory of you, or all of them ("Fresh start"). Settings also offers full account and data deletion.
• Or email support@rizzcall.app. Deletion requests complete within 30 days.

Your rights (EU/EEA & UK)

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, plus the right to complain to your supervisory authority. Email us; because accounts are anonymous, we may need you to make the request from the device that holds the account.

California & US state privacy rights

The personal information we collect falls into: identifiers (a random account ID and device identifiers), audio/electronic information (processed transiently, as above), commercial information (subscription status), and usage data. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we don't use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California (and other US state) residents can exercise access, deletion, and correction rights in-app or by email, without discrimination for doing so. We honor these requests even though accounts are anonymous; same device caveat as above.

Age

RizzCall is rated 17+ and is not directed at children. Characters are instructed to disengage and end the call if a user identifies as a minor. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 (COPPA) or under the applicable digital-consent age in the EU; if you believe a minor has used the app, contact us and we'll delete the data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we'll say so in the app before the change takes effect, in plain language.
